After that, the launcher closes, the game client opens for a split second and closes, then I get the error pop up. Just to provide more information, I can run the launcher and key in my login details. So i uninstalled and went back to the latest version. I got as far as installing it with compatibility mode, but after installation, SB just wouldn't open. But they were not compatible with windows 8.1. I did try older versions of SB before posting here. By adding the following IPC rule, I was able to get it working normally, and FPS and latency were displayed as normal.I tried out the first solution, but it still didn't work. I do know, however, that when trying to launch the performance overlay (alt+r) inside of a Sandboxed game, it normally shows everything except for CPU and GPU Utilization as N/A (not reading anything). I don't know if Nvidia Control Panel or Geforce Experience work on sandboxed programs (setting antialiasing, vsync, etc), and I'm not sure how I would even go about checking that. With Steam running outside of the Sandbox on both PCs, it is able to launch games and programs fine, and they're streamed as expected. I recently did a fresh install of Windows, and wanted to post / discuss some of the solutions I came up with regarding some of my main issues.ġst off, I wanted to find out how to enable Steam Streaming / Remote Play on this desktop so I could continue to play games on my old PC while I transfer over.
I've been using Sandboxie for several years now, and am really happy with all the changes you've been making! I tend to do most of my gaming inside of Sandboxes, but unfortunately, Sandboxie doesn't always work with them the way I think it should.
